EASE OF NATURE
Guided by the philosophy of Ease of Nature, GOODBAI’s offline spaces extend the brand’s vision of community and everyday living. From the first store in Shanghai to the second in Chengdu and the pop-up in Beijing, each project reimagines the physical store as a continuation of neighbourhood life rather than a purely commercial site. In both cities, the clothing store is designed as a home, warm, open and inviting, while the adjoining café serves as a back garden where people can pause and connect. Each location sits within a historically rich neighbourhood where the texture of old streets, natural light and greenery together create a sense of calm familiarity. Inside, the fountain, handcrafted mosaic and abundant greenery form the core of the spatial design. The travertine fountain introduces quiet elegance, the mosaic details add a touch of craftsmanship and nostalgia, and the lush plants bring in a sense of natural flow. Together they shape a serene and tactile atmosphere that reflects the brand’s organic spirit. Through this series of neighbourhood gardens, GOODBAI creates spaces that encourage encounter and connection, allowing people to experience comfort, sincerity and belonging in the gentle rhythm of everyday life.
Flagship Store
in Shanghai
Role:
Concept Direction
Located along a quiet street lined with plane trees in Shanghai’s Xuhui District, the GOODBAI flagship store draws inspiration from the charm of old neighbourhoods and their gentle rhythm of life. The space reinterprets the feeling of home, creating an atmosphere that feels calm, warm, and welcoming. Rather than a conventional retail store, it serves as a living space where visitors can slow down, wander, and feel at ease, as if stepping into a familiar home within the city. Although GOODBAI’s products are designed with an accessible price point, the store itself is crafted with refined details and a thoughtful sense of design. From the soft light filtering through the glass façade to the tactile warmth of the materials, every element reflects the brand’s philosophy of natural ease and everyday beauty.

Located next to the flagship store, the GOODBAI café continues the “Neighbourhood Home + Garden” concept as a peaceful retreat within the city. At its centre stands a handcrafted travertine fountain surrounded by lush greenery that softens the space and fills it with a sense of natural rhythm. The gentle sound of flowing water blends with the aroma of coffee, creating a quiet moment of relaxation and connection. The mosaic flooring, made with hand-cut tiles, adds an element of craftsmanship and timeless charm. Light, texture, and greenery together shape a serene environment where people can pause, converse, and breathe. More than a café, it serves as GOODBAI’s back garden, a community space where everyday life slows down and a sense of belonging naturally unfolds.

The handcrafted mosaic flooring and signature dove fountain carry over from Shanghai, preserving a sense of warmth and familiarity. Soft travertine tones, natural light, and abundant greenery create a calm, courtyard-like rhythm that feels both refined and effortless. Embracing Chengdu’s laid-back spirit, the space reflects GOODBAI’s philosophy of comfort, community, and ease, offering a quiet retreat where people can pause, connect, and simply be.
Popup Store

Role:
Creative Direction
Spatial Concept
Though temporary in form, the GOODBAI Beijing pop-up continues the brand’s philosophy of natural ease and connection. Located in a bustling department store, the space takes inspiration from a “garden castle,” transforming concrete walls into soft, organic shapes that evoke the feeling of an urban oasis. At its centre stands the signature fountain, a gentle symbol of flow and vitality that brings a sense of calm to the surrounding space. Visitors wander through textured surfaces and sculpted forms, momentarily escaping the noise of the city and finding quiet moments of reflection and connection. This project reinterprets GOODBAI’s idea of nature and community in a new context, turning retail into a poetic experience where imagination and everyday life meet with warmth and grace.
